Pala-U Waterfall

Pala-U is an 11-tier waterfall in Kaeng Krachan National Park, west of Hua Hin. Most visitors walk as far as tier 3. It's a full day out — start early.

Approx. distance from Khao Takiab: Approx. 60+ km west (unverified — check the route on Google Maps before you go).

Route outline

  1. Head west out of Hua Hin towards Kaeng Krachan National Park and the Pala-U waterfall.
  2. Pay the park entry fee at the gate and park in the visitor area.
  3. Walk the trail up through the tiers at your own pace, then ride back before dark.

What to bring

  • Helmets for rider and passenger (two are included with every rental)
  • Your driving licence plus an International Driving Permit with the motorcycle category
  • Rental papers and your phone
  • Cash for the park entry fee
  • Walking shoes, swimwear, water and snacks

  • In the rainy season parts of the park can close — check before you set off.
